Hello everyone! Next year is middle school for me and I’m nervous! Anyone have any advice?

Remember your locker combo and number, or write it down and keep it in a safe place. I put it in the back of my planner- I have it along for every class and in my bookbag outside of school- this means gym locker too! Give the locker rooms a week or two, year three and I don't mind at all. Unless you are really good at it and like it, don't take the challenge (advanced), classes, get to class on time, don't stand in the hallways with friends, as you are hard to pass especially if standing/ walking next to each other and you may lose track of time talking, be polite to locker neighbors, but don't tell them your combo, find the teacher for your next hour class for lock trouble as they are less likely to count you late/tardy if they were helping you with your lock, keep a small group of trustworthy friends (if you can't keep your secrets to yourself and you NEED to tell someone, tell them, but NEVER tell all of your secrets) Like to read? befriend the librarian. (how I get extra books)

Be yourself! Be kind to others, and don't be afraid to raise your hand in class! Don't worry about what others think of you, it only matters what you think of yourself. Middle school is so exciting, and you will meet lots of new friends!

Just express your own style! Dress however you like-- don't just do what everyone else is doing, because that's boring. Stay on top of your work with color-coded notes, and go to a tutor or the internet (like khan academy) if you don't understand something. Don't be afraid to introduce yourself to people with common interests, and consider joining a club that sparks your interests (like a theater club, or yearbook comity). Finally, always get lots of sleep, bring healthy snacks like carrots, trail mix, or a bar if you get hungry during the day, and bring a water bottle to stay hydrated :)
Advice! 1) Make yourself known to the teacher by excelling in academics, if possible, this will also help you gain new friends! 2) If you are not going back in person, and even if you do, make sure to take screen breaks to read or rest your eyes! 3) Don't lose track of any assignments and write all in a binder. 4) Preview any lesson pages or what you are going to study before you go into any class. *** I don't homeschool but, these are just some tips!

Just be like you are! Don't worry if other people think badly of you. Middle school can be tough because people can be meaner and think they are too old for things, but I'm in middle school and I have a really great friend who doesn't care how I act. I still love to do the things I used to do in elementary school, and I'm in 8th grade! Hope you have fun!

EEEEK! I just finished reading legacy!!!!!!!!!! IT.WAS.AMAZING!!! I loved the whole book! And the whole series! I cannot wait for Unlocked!!!!! Also if you haven't read it trust me you should it's really good!
