Jonathan Grisby has done something horrible. And he's willing to accept whatever punishment is coming his way. That made him get in Slabhenge Reformatory School for Troubled Boys. Not really a school; an ancient island. In Slabhenge, you don't write essays about your summer. You don't have recess. You don't read books. You don't have science labs and classes- all you do is work, work, work. And what I mean by ''work'' is cleaning the bedrooms, cleaning the bathrooms, cleaning the kitchens, and scrubbing the floors. But then something abrupt happens. All the adults get stuck by lightning and die. So now that they have freedom, they plan to wait for the boat, explain what happened, and go home. But Jonathan has other ideas. He tells the boys, why don't we stay here? We can live on our own, no rules, and nobody will look at us and think ''troublemakers''. First, the boys think it's a crazy idea. But then they think about it. But first of all- they need a new name- ''Scar Island''. When Sebastian, this kid who also agreed to the idea, starts acting like he's the boss, he gets angry at Jonathan for making him look bad. They make Jonathan go do one of the chores, but he discovers a library. ''You cannot leave a library. Without a book.'' But when a terrible hurricane comes, Scar Island is going under water. The librarian told them to use the lighthouse. So now they would get saved and go home. This book is so good! I feel the characters and this book actually connects a bit to my life. I could feel the way Dan Gemeinhart was expressing his characters. I definitely would give this book a 5/5 rating. Highly recommended.

The Frog Princess is one of my favorite books. Princess Emeralda, otherwise known as Princess Emma, is not your typical princess. She is clumsy, and has the laugh of a donkey, and she doesn't like the self-centered Prince Jorge who her mother wants her to marry. Instead she likes to explore the swamp and and learning about magic from her Aunt Grassina. One day when she is in her favorite place-the swamp, she meets a talking frog named Eadric. Eadric claims to be a prince, and he needs Emma to kiss him to turn him back into a prince. Emma consents, but something goes horribly wrong when Emma turns into a frog as well. Now Emma and Eadric must make a journey full of danger and predators in order to find a cure. I absolutely love this book, and the rest of the series. E.D. Baker is a fantastic writer, and her stories are weaved with magic and plot twists! I recommend this book to middle grade kids, around ages 8-12. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

The F-14 Tomcat is the star of the 1986 movie, Top Gun when Maverick was 23 years old. Right now, Maverick is 60 years old. The most sad part of the movie is when Goose dies by hitting his jet by the canopy.

The Blue Angels first flew in 1946 shortly after World War II ended. Today, The Blue Angels are flying F/A-18E/F Super Hornets. Maverick flew an F/A-18E Super Hornet when he was 57 years old in 2019, but the new Top Gun Maverick movie came out May 27, 2022.

The B-2 Spirit is a big stealth bomber aircraft, it has a wingspan of 172 ft.

The F-35 is a stealth fighter which first flew in 2006. The only F-35 aircraft that lands like a helicopter is the F-35B.

Wierd, but funny, I guess. Prepare to read the unecspected facts about down under and in the toilet. By the way, if this is your favorite book and you read it whenever you read, seriously people! Talk, read, and THINK about something other than POOP sometime.

It may not be the most original idea ever, but the execution of the book makes up for that and more. On a whole, this was a feel-good book, with slight humor. It wasn't exactly a fast-paced thrill-a-minute book, but somehow you could still sit and read it without it being forced. Flipped made it so that you could see things vicariously through Juli(anna) AND Bryce, instead of just being stuck in one P.O.V. A rich journey full of inspiring and satisfying moments, this book will set the bar high for all others.

This is the book I am currently reading for my schoolwork. The story is of a girl who is leaving for the New World, all alone. She is unable to pay a debt, so must become a kitchen maid in order to be rid of it.
