Though the Greek and Roman crew members of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen - all of them - and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens.

The one major rule about demigods is that you should not figure out prophecies ahead of time, because bad things can happen to those who do.

My friends and i have started a rick riordan book club and we are so excited for the next book to come out.

i followed riordan on twitter

I realized something about the Prophecy of the seven, while looking at the prophecy. Seven half-bloods shall answer the call Got that. Percy, Annabeth, Piper, Jason, Leo, Hazel, Frank. To storm of fire the world must fall. Okay, this is the cool part. Storm=Jason. Fire=Leo. World=Gaea. JASON OR LEO WILL DEFEAT GAEA. An oath to keep with a final breath. This could mean many people, such as Leo, Jason, etc. And foes bear arms to the Doors of Death. Okay, I haven't read the House of Hades as much as the others, so I can't be super accurate on this one, like the others. The foes could mean Bob and Percy/Annabeth, since Bob is technically a Titan, so you'd think that they'd be enemies. Again, not sure about that last one. But, I realized it, and was like: I GOTTA TELL THEM! So...yeah.

You know what happens when you try to get around prophecys!

Well, Percy could possibly be storm it doesnt have to be Jason

True... There are so many options about the Prophecy of Seven... When the book, The Blood of Olympus, comes out, I wonder which "idea/thought/theory" Rick Riordan will choose for the prophecy, because there are a lot of theories choose from...

I guess...if you combined Percy AND Jason. You can't just have Percy though, and Zeus IS kinda the god of the sky, which could translate to god of the storm.

@pipermc11 Lord Poseidon is also named as the Stormbringer so definitely Percy can be the "storm" alone. I think it was mentioned by Lord Hephaestus in the book series Percy Jackson & the Olympians "Battle of the Labyrinth". You can check if you want.

I was thinking about the prophecy too... And I agree with you for most of the parts, like "Seven half-bloods shall answer the call"... we obviously know that... Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Frank, Leo, and Hazel. For the next line it got me thinking about something else..."To storm of fire the world must fall," I was thinking also thinking about Jason and Leo, defeating Gaea... or I was thinking what if they were in a spell that Gaea cast to Jason and Leo, and they battle against each other, or it's the opposite: Jason and Leo fight against each other and the world fall. That theory I don't know, but it's an idea! The next line it states, "An oath to keep a final breath," okay this one is a little hard to infer about, but I was thinking it could also be Leo keeping his promise to rescue Calypso, and to get her out of Ogygia. Plus he swore by the River Styx so yeah... But you're right, it could be anyone who kept a huge promise. The next line, "And foe bears arm to the Doors of Death, is a little bit easier, since they were talking about this line in the MoA. Greeks and Romans (their camps) getting together(since they were enemies) working together, solving their problems, and facing the Doors of Death together. That's what I was thinking about... the Prophecy of Seven.

Well, I really really HOPE Leo doesn't die because he'll get eternal punishment in the underworld... He swore on the River Styx! He HAS to rescue Calypso!

Well, I kinda took a different take on the second line. If you remember, back to the Lost Hero, Jason and Leo were already set up against each other. Because of this, I doubt Rick Riordan will repeat this tactic. Yeah, I was also thinking of Calypso/Leo for the third line...I was thinking about the last line...if we think about it, Hazel and Frank are pretty friendly with everyone on the Argo II. So, they weren't really foes. However, Bob, the Titan, was a foe, since he was a Titan. These are my thoughts on the prophecy!

Yeah, I was thinking a little differently about the second line... but in the last line, "And foe bears arm to the Door of Death," Camp Half-Blood and and Camp Jupiter have on going arguments in general, they don't really get along... and they don't really trust each other. They just need to agree to work together... In the Mark of Athena remember when Reyna was saying should I trust you guys to Annabeth, but then there was this big explosion "from Leo," so now the Romans and the Greeks are a bit hasty towards each other. Also in HoH Leo did tell the dwarves who stole those shiny stuff to harass the Romans. But when the got the statue(fromMoA) they planned on taking it to Camp Half-Blood by a Roman leader (in HoH) So that was one way that resolved their rift between Romans and Greeks... BTW, I really like your thoughts about the prophecy, pipermc11 and spinnypeeps!

I was thinking, well, that 'an oath to keep with a final breath' could possibly mean Gaea, because she has broken some promises to the Titans, maybe, and she'll keep it by dying. Like one of those deals that you swear your life upon. In the prophecy, it states that she is the one who falls. Or maybe, Zeus is the one who is punished. In Greek Mythology, he promised Gaea he would free his uncles, the Cyclopes, in return for her help in the battle of Titans vs Gods. He never kept his promise, so she swore revenge. I mean, you never know until you read the last book, right?

Didn't Zeus free the Cyclops? I mean, how else would they be down in the ocean with Posiden? And what about Tyson? He seems pretty free to me.

I'm just speaking from original mythology. Gaea could still have a grudge against him. Plus, he or Poseidon could possibly be storm.

This comes out on October 9th right? (I know, it's horrible that I have to ask.) I'm going on a plane trip a couple weeks after that and I'll want to have something to read. But, having it stare me in the face, that'll be unbearable. Plus I won't be able to log on hear or I'll be tempted to read *SPOILERS* :(

Like this if you are the #1 of Rick Riordan

Guess what?! I'm going to meet Rick Riordan at the Boston Book festival

I'm hoping to see him when he makes his Norse myth series. The closest he comes to me this year is NYC!

When? I live in MA! (You know that)

He was one of the judges of my art contests, actually.

Doodle4Google, right? I entered that too.

Me too, I also entered that contest...

me too,*virtually group hug*

I Virtually slap five instead... I'm not a big fan of random hugs, I guess?

That would be a dream come true for me!!! (just look at my username!!!

I wonder if Riordan will add the Egyptian series in there?

Actually there is a Egyptian series/trilogy, called the Kane Chronicles... you should check it out.

Yeah, the first book is The Red Pyramid. Second book is Throne of Fire. The Last book is The Serpent's Shadow!

It is with Carter and Sadie Kane.

i will miss the series when it will be over, but at least there will be another series... hopefully. maybe norse mythology, or or asian mythology maybe.
