Though the Greek and Roman crew members of the Argo II have made progress in their many quests, they still seem no closer to defeating the earth mother, Gaea. Her giants have risen - all of them - and they're stronger than ever. They must be stopped before the Feast of Spes, when Gaea plans to have two demigods sacrificed in Athens.

Really? Like, he's not going to write any other books? Awwwwwwww
He's going to make other books but I said he's done with the Heroes of Olympus
Sorry to burst your bubble, but he never said that. He said it was too soon to consider writing another series, but it's certainly possible he will.
Actually, he's already confirmed that he's writing a series on Norse mythology.
I was talking about the PJO series :)
Yeah, I think your right, thanks
He's going to make a series about Norse mythology
that would be cool. I am totally Rick Riordan
of course! Everone here is too
How do you know? That's awesome! Norse mythology is da best(other than Greek and Roman mythology. Also I'm Christian so don't mistake the other stuff for my religion.)

If you go on Rick Riordan's website (you should check it out), click on "About Rick," then down below there's a list, and then "Frequently Asked Questions." Then just scroll down the questions, one particular questions asked about Norse mythology, so there you have it :)... btw Norse mythology is awesome!!!! :D
What is Rick Riordan's website? Tell me the address.
It's www.rickriordan.com Very short and easy to remember just Rick Riordan's, (name and last name combined) with no capitalization.
I realized what your username meant, after going to the library at our school...very clever!
Thanks!
I mean bibliophile
I like books toooooooo.
Really!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
I wish the book would come out sooner... I need to read more of these series!!!!!
YES! I totally agree.
Like this If you love Greeks!
Like this if you love Romans
I love both- don't know which is better!
I Really Want to read this. :P
I spent the week at GS camp and we watched the two Percy Jackson movies. When everyone started calling actors, I called Jason. The girl next to me called Leo and another girl (who hadn't read THoO) called Nico. I spent the rest of the day discussing Pico with the one who called Leo. Fun!
I hope when this book releases it will be as wonderful as the other books in it's series
I haven't read it but i know it will be awesome and yes i know Rachel! And i am in your tribe! I am abbie!
OH MY GODS I JUST REALIZED SOMETHING. Haha, I actually didn't; I just needed your attention. (Sorry.) I was just wondering if someone could start up a conversation, here. I would, but I can't think of anything. My brain's been temporarily murdered by final exams. So . . . debates, anyone? (Or we could all just write little mini-stories/fanfics. I dunno, I'm bored.)
YOU GUYS I WAS COUNTING ON YOU LIKE C'MON
NO SERIOUSLY LET'S TALK ABOUT BoO THAT'S WHAT THIS IS HERE FOR
Well, I know this is a touchy subject, but if someone DOES die, we might as well discuss that. Now, we can rule Annabeth and Percy out. Too important. I think we can take Jason, Piper and Leo out as well. That leaves us with a few characters. Nico might die, because he feels like someone that doesn't belong. Reyna might die, to sacrifice herself for Jason. Possible. Hazel might sacrifice herself since she knows she has already died before, Frank might sacrifice himself with his burning twig, because he knows that's when he'll die, and he'll die a Roman warrior. Octavion might die, and honestly, I think that's more fandom related. Calypso might die to become free, but then again, Leo might die to go be with her...that would be a plot twist. Also, multiple other characters could die for other related reasons...like Clarisse, the Stoll brothers, etc.
I personally doubt that Rick would kill off any of the seven. He writes with his fans in mind, and he's also said that he won't kill off main characters. Now that Frank is praetor, it's unlikely that he'll die. However, it's highly likely that Reyna will either die or step down so that Hazel can rule Camp Jupiter alongside him. I don't think Nico will die, because the entire point of him confronting his sexuality was to tell kids with the same issues in their lives that yes, it does get better, and killing him off would not exactly demonstrate that very well. Whether Octavian dies or not is up for debate. I mean, his death would be great, and all, but I feel like it would be more poetically just if he survived. Most likely, he'll begin the attack on Camp Half-Blood, realize that Gaea is a bigger, more threatening problem, and grudgingly join forces with the Greeks, defeating her. Then, at the ending celebrations, he will be the arrogant auger he is, and there will be that "ah well, some things never change" moment, and things will go back to as normal as they can be after a war. For Leo and Calypso, there are many possible outcomes, the least of which being death. Here is the one I see happening: they save Olympus, Zeus is reminded of his promise to Percy, Calypso is allowed to leave her island IF she agrees to be mortal, she and Leo live happily ever after. (I don't think that Leo will be granted immortality, for a few reasons. One: he'd never be with his mom again. Two: I don't actually thing he'd want to live forever, not as a god. He'd constantly be comparing himself to his dad, or to other gods. It would seriously damage his self-esteem, and then he'd feel bad for beating himself up about it, because he would feel as though he should be grateful instead of self-pitying. Three: remember what Mars said? Life is only precious because it ends.) Last but not least: minor characters, campers, spirits, and the like. As of this, we can only pray it won't be our favorites.
Ha ha, he writes with his fans in mind...UNTIL HE STARTS THROWING PEOPLE TO TARTURUS!! Sorry, nervous breakdown. Yeah, Octavion shouldn't die, as much as it pains me to say so, he shouldn't. Hmmm, a good way to do the Leo/Calypso thing is this: Leo makes it to the island, but is then confronted by a god/monster, to keep out people who come back twice, and tries to kill Leo for breaking this vow. However, Calypso, not wanting to see her heart broken again, throws herself in front of the javilin/spear/sword that is thrown at Leo, and dies in Leo's arms. However, as Hades is collecting her soul, he takes pity on Leo (for once!), and talks to Zeus about Calypso's sacrifice, and successfully persuades Zeus that Calypso is on their side. Zeus brings Calypso back to life, but under one condition: Calypso is mortal, because some things cannot be changed, even in the world of the gods. Leo and Calypso live happily ever after...until the next big prophecy... Well, that's my theory. It's kinda like Harry Potter, but, oh well.
He absolutely threw Percabeth into Tartarus with his fans in mind. You think he didn't predict our exact reaction? They got out of Tartarus safely. Nothing permanently terrible happened (not including, of course, psychological damage). Rick is hyper-concious of his fans, and will not kill any main characters.
That is possible
How did you so perfectly predict what is probably going to happen. You're a genius, and I mean it!
Thank you! Honestly, I just think about it a lot. When I have a lot of spare time in my hands...but that's just the way I would like it to turn out. I'M NOT PROMISING ANYTHING, BECAUSE I AM NOT RICK RIORDAN (as much as I wish I was.)
You've got a real point, hyper monkey.
I call books where everyone dies a Harry Potter ending. But, Rick Riordian could pull a Divergent on us of course...
HOW DARE YOU MENTION DIVERGENT ON THIS SACRED BOARD!! OPTIMISM IS NEEDED, AND YOU ARE DRAINING US OF IT! :D ha ha, joking, but really, don't do that!
What!?! Piper, Divergent is awesome! Well except for the ending...
I know right divergent series had the worst ending ever in the history of books :(
How can we review this book if it didn't come out yet? It should be on the fall or winter reading list.
I know this book is going to be really good! Rachel told me!
You know Rachel? Cuz I know another Rachel who is craz-E about Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus series!
