Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

this book is sad just because of his face.

I loved this book. It tells many adventurous, sad, or funny stories about Auggie Pullman and his friends. I really enjoyed reading this book!

This book was so inspiring that I nearly cried. This book is about August (Auggie) Pullman, who has a rare medical facial deformity, also known as Treacher Collins syndrome or a cleft palate. He is starting in a new school, at age ten, and he is easily the easiest target for bullying. As he goes through the school year, people are jealous, people are supporting, and some people are just neutral. He bears through it all and he forms the most heart-breaking story ever made. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good book.

Wonder was a novel that I enjoyed reading. I thought the message was really strong, to love yourself the way you are. Auggie was a GREAT main character, and to have his POV was amazing. This book was SO hyped that I had to pick it up. You might say that i was 4% disappointed, but who cares about the 4%? Anyway, AWESOME novel, totally recommend it.

I just finished this book. It's amazing!!!!! It tells you about how you should or shouldn't treat people. It really show a now-a-days picture in your mind, what I mean is, you can see stuff happening like this all the time, the bullying. I started crying a few times. It is a very emotional book. I imagined many times about the hardships Auggie was put in to. I wondered, that could happen to anyone. Even me. I could've been called horrible things, because of my appearence. I hope you geta chance to read this book once in you're lifetime. Because it's a "Wonder".....

This was amazing this book had a very strong message and it had very strong words on how to behave around people that are different than you

I love the book, it a really good book. It teach's kids not to look on the outside of people but the inside. I personally like the boy called Jack in the book he stood up for August the boy that has facial problems. There is a girl called Summer she is really nice and sits with August everyday. They came up with and idea that they should call it the Summer table. August has a sister called Olivia or Via and a mum and dad. I personally think everyone should read this book.

I totally agree! It is a very good book to introduce to kids that some people are different. It also teaches the importance of kindness, and accepting the differences of others!

this is an amazing book that lets people know other peoples struggles and lets them see how a young boy with a face disorder feels. you really feel his struggles and his pain. you cry, laugh, and feel his feelings. this is a great book and I recommend it to others.
