I read this in fourth grade, it is an awesome book! It is about five students who go inside detention, but one dies. The four people are suspects. The ending really suprised me!

This book is about a young boy, Pong, who tries to run away from prison. Nok, the prison warden's daughter, chases him. I would recommend it to 8 to 12 year old.

deafgirlhistory's book review was featured in No Promises in the Wind.
Josh Grondowski, a normal fifteen years old boy who has the major potential and dreams relating to music, especially when its comes to piano. But the hardship, poverty, hunger, and families now scattering all across America as the 1930s Great Depression strikes. Major banks went out of the businesses, taking other people's savings, and the food now little bit harder to find than used to, people also lost their own jobs. But in Josh's own perspective and reality, Mr. Grondowski, his father who used to treat Josh as his own son, always taking him out to baseball games, having some time together until his younger brother, Joey arrived and things has changed since. When Josh decided to run away, thinking it would make his own parents feeding Joey more easier, as it would be one less person with his best friend from the school, but turns out that Joey had wanted to go along. Despite Joey's physical weakness when he got real sick when he was still in his infancy. When you'll read this, you would then learn nearly every character's perspectives during the Great Depression. - Happy Reading!

deafgirlhistory's book review was featured in Mary Poppins Comes Back.
Another day, another adventure now begins again as Mary Poppins returns to care the Banks children. Michael, who is still a mischievous boy but growing up. Jane, a quiet but also little bit complaint girl, who's also growing up, maturing. The twins, who are rarely get mentioned, also starting to get little bit older but still in their infancy. Bert, a chimney cleaner now didn't get mentioned as lot as the first book but it's noticeable that Mary kind of have the thing for Bert but don't know for sure yet. Mary, the nanny, who's still little bit cranky and strict but the kids still respect her, even if they are afraid of her which means good thing....mostly! But overalls, I really enjoyed this book so far too! - Happy Reading!

Nick Buckley, a young lady who somehow survived few "accidents" that could potentially take her life as the famous detective, Hercule Poirot to suspect that the certain murderer has the target. But who? Likely to be Nick. One day while vacationing at the Cornish coast, he (Poirot) noticed a bullet hole in the young lady's hat (which is Nick's) and took up the case to investigate in order to try and stop the murderer. While doing it, Poirot also dived in the dark history relating to the young mistress of End House. And while learning her dark history, he then added up all the events that nearly took Nick's life and shocking had happened. This is lowkey really good and I would recommend this book for any mystery/murder lovers! - Happy Reading!

deafgirlhistory's book review was featured in The El Dorado Adventure.
Everything was going on pretty good without any chaos until Vesper Holly learns that she actually owns the volcano on the tiny republic/island of El Dorado. Just another adventure awaits for you with Holly as she sails to Central America with her guardian, Brinnie but later finds herself in the danger that nobody would being able to describe. Like someone else wanted to own that property, sabotaging Holly, and others. Really crazy book, too! - Happy Reading!

deafgirlhistory's book review was featured in Mary Poppins Opens the Door.
Another adventure, but same life as Mary Poppins continue caring for the Banks children. Her strict rules for the children remain unhinged and unchanged but changed subtly so slightly that you would never notice with Michael and Jane both now growing up, getting little bit more older but still have their own mischievous selfs which you would laugh at sometime. We also met few more new characters which adds up to the whole story to Mary Poppins' life while caring the children. Another book that I also enjoyed but could be better with Mary being little bit nicer. Just saying! - Happy Reading!
