To all those who love classic fairy tales with a twist (like me), I recommend 1. The Lunar Chronicles (has a lot of sci-fi, Star Wars type elements, as well as some romance) 2. A Tale Dark and Grimm (for older readers, it is slightly violent because it is based on the Brothers Grimm fairy tales) 3. Storybound 4. Twisted Tale series (takes classic Disney movies, like Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Mulan, etc, and "twists" them. For example, what if Belle's mother was the enchantress who cursed the beast? Or if Elsa and Anna never knew each other?) 5. The Land of Stories

Her stand-alone novel heartless was also really good, though it isn't related to the Lunar Chronicles. It's based on Alice In Wonderland
