Council of Mirrors (Sisters Grimm #9) (Sisters Grimm, The)

Council of Mirrors (Sisters Grimm #9) (Sisters Grimm, The)

By Michael Buckley

Warning this review contains spoilers. Two years have passed since Sabrina and Daphne’s parents had been kidnaped and put under a sleeping spell. They have been rescued and awoken now, but their problems aren’t over yet. The Scarlet Hand has over run Ferryport Landing! Also Mirror took over Granny Relda’s body and is trying to break the barrier that traps all the ever-afters in the town, so the rest of the Grimms (besides Jake), puck, Mr. Canis, and Red seek shelter with Charming’s army. Then the Bunny Lancaster a.k.a The Wicked Queen shows up to help, she fixes the broken magic mirrors, and they revile a prophesy that only Sabrina and Daphne can defeat Mirror and The Scarlet Hand. Naturally Daphne is all for it, but like all always Sabrina has her doubts. Will the Army of ever-afters listen to a couple of Kids? How will they defeat The Scarlett Hand? Will puck ever take a bath? (Ok I think we all know the answer to the last one is, NO) Find out in The Council of Mirrors. What I thought of the book: Just when I thought Puck couldn't get any awesomer (yes that's a word) he surprised me. But like always, Sabrina never failed to annoy me. I also didn't like Basil (their little brother). He annoyed me even more than Sabrina, even though he barely said any thing. Although I used to think Veronica (their mom) was kind of cool, this book made her seem like an annoying cry-baby. I think that Daphne might have married Pinocchio. I can't believe Sabrina and Puck went like 5 years without seeing each other. They ended up getting married, so I'm not complaining, but I thought they would be at least friends their whole lives. It was a pretty good ending to the series, but over all, I liked the books before their parents were awake better.

The Inside Story (The Sisters Grimm, Book 8)

The Inside Story (The Sisters Grimm, Book 8)

By Michael Buckley, Peter Ferguson

Michael Buckley is hilarious. I love how he take characters from a bunch of places (like Alice in wonderland and the Wizard of Oz) along with all the classic fairy-tales, throws in a dysfunctional family and a sausage loving dog, creating the best (and funniest) series anyone could possibly read.

The Problem Child (The Sisters Grimm, Book 3)

The Problem Child (The Sisters Grimm, Book 3)

By Michael Buckley

I loved this book. But it creeped me out a little. I mean, in the story, little red riding hood is just an innocent little girl, but in this book she still is, but she is crazy. Like actually crazy, for real. She is the one who stole Sabrina and Daphne's parents. She thinks that a Jabborwocky is a kitty, and she thinks the Grimm sister's parents are her parents, and she thinks that Mr. Canis is her doggy, and Granny Relda is her grandmother. This book has it all! Excitement, Sorrow, Happiness, and so much more! Read this book and it will be the your favorite, at least for a little while.

Unfortunately, Kate and Lucie live in apartments where dogs are not allowed. Instead of real dogs, they have dog T-shirts, dog sheets and pajamas, and dog books. But nothing is quite the same as having a real dog. One day, the girls discover sparkly pink dog necklaces at the thrift store and try them on. But when they admire themselves in the mirror and give each other high fives, there is a pop and a whoosh and the girls are turned into dogs! Now it seems like Kate and Lucie won’t need their own pet dogs . . . because they’ll be having furry adventures of their own!
