Kids Books - Science Fiction

This was an intense Sci-Fi read. It's like Star Wars, but a less advanced and there's more of a...human nature about everything and everyone, although the humanness of this story is masked by alien forms and names. First off, the first chapter intrigued me and left me puzzled in a good way. Tula speaking up, being beaten, being left for dead, feeling worthless, and feeling her first start of the violently bitter hatred that fuels her through the whole book. I'd say the things that held me back from fully delving into this book were these: Tula, well, I didn't really feel for her. Maybe I lack empathy, but I wasn't feeling as much sympathy as the author intended me to feel. The reason I wasn't sympathizing is because of this blind hatred that consumes her and her actions. Nothing will truly satisfy her until her thirst for Brother Blue's blood is satisfied. It's almost impossible to care for someone who cares for almost no one. Also, this book lacked much-needed description on characters so that I had no clue as to what they look like and I have to guess. The descriptions come too late in the book. As a reader, I shouldn't have to guess what a character looks like! Other than that, this was a really interesting book that passed three years (book-wise) in time very smoothly and has a writing style that is no-nonsense and down to the point. I would recommend to 12 and older, as some of the material would not interest elementary readers and is inappropriate for ages below middle school.

I haven't actually read it yet but I read the first four so I Know this one is going to be good.It is also 20 or more on reading counts.

It wasn't great but it was a great book of a scientist that is very little but it is funny to see what he does.

Rowan and Nina are siblings they live in New york. Things are not going well there in their dads bakery, so he decides to send them to the small town of owatannuk where they stay with their "aunts" Gertrude and Agatha. There they meet two other kids named Xanthe and Xavier. When they meet everything turns around, the younger sister Nina goes missing in the revolution in the allivators, which are in the old abandon "haunted" house. Then there's also the golden hour a time just when the sun goes down and the moon comes up, everything looks golden!

This book is reallly exciting and fun to read. I just discovered it and can't get enough. We want a sequel!

This is a very interesting series. If you like books that cause you to escape reality while intertwining real life issues at the same time, this series is for you!

I decided to read this book because I have never read this book and it looked interesting.I have read this book and it was interesting.I liked it because they were saving Merling and Morgan.I also liked it because they were trying to get the ice wizard eye.It was interesting because when they gave the eye to the ice wizard it didn't work.But then Kathleen found the ice wizard sister and his eye worked again.

The story of this book is about how five's guardian died and he is on his own. Five left to Miami and start a thug life until one day he met a Mogadorian ally named Ethan and he introduced him to the Mogadorians. I wonder how five will feel and will he be guilty for what he had done, He left his own group and went to the enemy. I think the Mogadorian will harm five later on because they are just using him to fight. When five isn't valuable anymore they will kill him preventing him from regretting of what he had done and go against the Mogadorian. I think that five is in fear because his guardian just died and he is on his own that is why. Five is just a teen and he is left alone in this city. I hope five can understand what he have to do and go back to the Lorics.
