I really enjoyed this book because it taught me about the sinking of the Titanic. George Calder is on the Titanic, the "unsinkable" ship with his younger sister Phoebe and his Aunt Daisy. On the Titanic, there are different places to look at, and George can't wait to explore them. But when ten-year-old George strolls into the first-class storage cabin, George hears a big boom. What happened? This book is great for people who want to learn more about the Titanic and for younger readers.

"I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912" is a really good read. If you want a short book on historical fiction, I recommend practically EVERY "I Survived" book. George and his little sister, Phoebe, are traveling back to America with their Aunt Daisy on the Titanic. Everyone claims it is unsinkable, and everyone overlooks the fact that there are 16 lifeboats on a 2,229-capacity cruise. But it turns out an iceberg can overturn a ship as big and grandeur as the Titanic. At first, Phoebe is missing and George and Aunt Daisy have to find her. Then, they meet Marco, a friend of George, and find Phoebe. Then, they escape to the top of the deck with ladders they found in the boiler room. Once, they get on deck, they crew only allowed Phoebe and Aunt Becky to go on the lifeboats. Marco and George get off the boat and eventually swim to another lifeboat. In the end, they all meet up on a passing boat and everyone reaches New York and is scarred for life by their terrifying experiences.
