I always forget how much I like this book. If you don't know what Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is about you must live under a rock. Definitely lighter than the rest of the series (especially considering I read this book right after rereading book 7) and a nice break from the darkness that starts around book 3 or 4. Harry Potter and Sorcerer's Stone is appropriate for anyone who has the attention span and ability to read chapter books. This is a great book and a must read for anyone trying to keep up with the times (or the times 5 years ago).

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.
All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.
But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.
For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

This book was amazing! I enjoyed reading it, and it's very addicting! I never wanted to stop reading! It's about Harry, who gets a letter inviting him to Hogwarts. He then meets two new friends, Ron and Hermione, and they encounter dangerous and amazing things with them. This book is amazing and there's a lot of great details!
My first thought after reading this book was: I hope the library has the second book. It was so exciting that I couldn't help wanting to read the whole series. Even though it has a lot of fantasy, it also had tension and suspension that made the book interesting. It is about a boy named Harry who finds out he is capable of practicing magic. He is then whisked off to Hogwarts, a magic school, where he encounters many problems and exciting opportunities with his new friends Ron and Hermione. The author does a great job explaining the scene and it feels like I am in the story too.
This was a good book. There is a lot of magic. I liked it better than the movie. Harry and his friends get in to lots of trouble.
Such a great series! I highly reccomend it!
I love these books! JK Rowling is an amazing writer! these are one of my favorite book series, i can just read them again and again! I was so sad when they finished the series. I loved all the characters they were so real, JK just made them come to life for me.
Harry Potter is my favorite book series to read. When I started reading this book I started to love it immediately and was very eager to find out more so when I finished that book I asked my librarian where more of the Harry Potter books are and that section was one of my favorite places to go. Anyway, The first Harry Potter book is about Harry receiving a letter from Hogwarts school and Mr. Dursley is trying to keep it away from Harry. Because he thought magic is rubbish and well not meant for this family trying to be normal. They treat Harry like a slave. Finally he comes to Hogwarts and meets friends. He soon is learning stuff about his parents and who killed them. Read the book to find out more!
Harry Potter is one of my favorite books! The book tells about the many adventures of Harry Potter in the Hogwarts school of Witchcraft, and Wizardry. He and his buddies (Ron and Hermione) go through the castle looking for new ways to uncover the mystery they're set to solve. Hs teachers are fairly nice to them, except for one, Snape. Read the book to find out what happens to the valuable Sorcerer's Stone, and how they conquer Voldemart
It's ok
