I always forget how much I like this book. If you don't know what Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is about you must live under a rock. Definitely lighter than the rest of the series (especially considering I read this book right after rereading book 7) and a nice break from the darkness that starts around book 3 or 4. Harry Potter and Sorcerer's Stone is appropriate for anyone who has the attention span and ability to read chapter books. This is a great book and a must read for anyone trying to keep up with the times (or the times 5 years ago).

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.
All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.
But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.
For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

Harry Potter lives with his aunt and uncle. He goes to a new school and meets two new friends. Harry has to find the sorcerers stone and learns to use his magic powers. The movie is a really cool!!!
Harry Potter, a famous name only he doesn't know it yet... Someone tried to kill him when he was barely a year old. Everyone thought that if you so much as said a word to him it would be fatal. Now 10 years later he finally discovers who he is... a wizard. Suddenly he's going to a school (called Hogwarts) where everyone knows him as the famous Harry Potter. Harry makes two new friends and they discover Hogwarts has many secrets...
The book is about Harry, a little of his life before he discovered he was a wizard, and then his first year at Hogwarts. He goes on many adventures at Hogwarts, but his biggest problem is getting the Sorcerer’s Stone away from Voldemort. Will he do it?
Gosh, I haven't read this book in a while. Harry Potter thinks he's just a weirdo odball, until he discover's he's a wizard-and a famous one! Harry learns that he survived the killing curse (which explains the flying motorcycle and green flash dreams) when the darkest wizard who ever lived tried to kill him, yet failed. Harry's first year at Hogwarts has a little bit more mystery than he thought in the first installment of the Harry Potter series.
I give it 3 million stars
I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think this series might have been the best series ever. I cried when I finished it, that's how good it was!
Harry Potter is an ordinary boy. He doesn't have special powers, and he isn't anyone special, espically to his Aunt, Uncle, and cousin Dudley. Until that fateful night on his eleventh birthday when he learns he's a...wizard? And a very very good wizard? As Harry goes through learning what he should wear, making new friends, and dealing with popularity he never had, he finds out that there is an evil force lurking...and they're coming right after him.
This book is a great book for people who like wizards, witches, and sorcery. It is about a kid, who gets left with his horrible, cruel aunt and uncle. He wants a way to get some sort of freedom, then one day he figures out that he is a wizard. Read the book to find out more of his adventures!!!
