LOST
Brian Robertson, sole passenger on a Cessna 406, is on his way to visit his father when the tiny bush plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness. With nothing but his clothing, a tattered windbreaker, and the hatchet his mother had given him as a present, Brian finds himself completely alone.
Challenged by his fear and despair -- and plagued with the weight of a dreadful secret he's been keeping since his parent's divorce -- brian must tame his inner demons in order to survive. It will take all his know-how and determination, and more courage than he knew he possessed.

I have recently read the book Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. The book Hatchet is about a boy named Brian flying to see his Dad. The plane crashes and Brian is stranded in the middle of nowhere. Brian faces many challenges like harsh weather, deadly animals, and hunting for food. One day there is a tornado that brings part of the plane out of the lake. Brian goes inside and finds a kit containing a emergency transmitter. After flipping the switch on, they come to rescue him. I liked the book a lot because it was very interesting. He had to face a lot of hard challenges to survive the wilderness. Hatchet is considered a realistic fiction story. It is a story that could take place today and the setting is in Canada, which is a real place. The events in the story could happen in real life. I would recommend this book to readers who like adventure stories and the outdoors. They would enjoy this book because it is a story on how to survive the outdoors. Also, Brian goes through many adventures throughout the book. In Hatchet, Brian faces internal and external conflicts. An internal conflict he had was the struggle of killing an animal for food. An external conflict he had was surviving the harsh weather. Overall, the book Hatchet was a great book and I enjoyed reading it.
I read the book Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. Hatchet is a survival story about a boy named Brian. Brian's parents have recently been divorced and he knows a secret why. Brian is flying to spend some time with his dad up in Canada. The pilot has a heart attack a ways through the flight and dies. Brian flies the plane for a while but it runs out of fuel. Brian is forced to land the plane. He tries to land it in a lake and is partially successful. He crashed through many trees before he hit the lake. Brian must survive in the Canadian wilderness for as long as he can. I really liked this book because of the very descriptive language the author used. It made the book a lot more visual and I liked that a lot. This book is realistic fiction because I could happen in real life and maybe there are even similar stories that have happened in real life. Also there weren't any things that were out of the ordinary or unrealistic and also there was never a real given time so it is not historical fiction. People who would like this book would be people who like survival stories, nature, and perseverance. You would like Hatchet because this book has all those qualities in it. A conflict in Hatchet would man vs nature. This is a conflict because Brian is fighting against nature to survive.
