I’m not sure why everyone says that they didn’t like this book. I thought it was fantastic! The multiple perspectives of the book give many different insights on all the different people of the community. It is heartwarming, inspiring, and uplifting. It is a short read, but a great one! I would recommend to everyone. Seedfolks is one of the best books I’ve read. Many people said they thought it was boring, but how can you get bored from such a short book? This book literally takes 2 hours tops to read. I love seeing the community gradually coming together as one to create something beautiful out of something old and ugly. I hope to read more books like this in the future. Five Stars! AMAZING BOOK!

Nothing happens in this entire book, no joke. It tries to be much more than it actually is. It's about a group of people in a small community who don't really interact, until a girl plants a bean. Then, the garden brings them all together. The problem is, the book is so short, and each chapter is from a different perspective, and no character gets development, because you have to move on to the "mourning husband" or the "racist grandma." . Bad book.

This is the worst book I’ve ever read. A complete and utter waste of time and effort. Literally nothing happens. There is 0 plot. It introduces characters (who are poorly written in the first place) and immediately gets rid of them. There is no conflict or even resolution. They set up one, but it’s immediately thrown out along with the character it’s set up with. It’s a hollow shell of a book with a hollow shell of a message that makes everyone love this book for no good reason. It plays the whole “be nice to people and be with your communities” message, but because of the terrible writing this message just feels so hollow. Like it was thrown in just to get people to like the book. It sadly worked. This book gets a 0 out of any amount of stars.

Personally, seedfolks was very boring to me. I get how it was meant to be inspiring or whatever, but the characters had no real descriptions and all the chapters ended up in the same place: the person going to the garden. I don't know, some people like these kinds of books but it was just pointless to me.
Seedfolks is a great book with a great moral; however, the beginning became somewhat confusing as new characters came along. I guess it isn't one of my favorites because of the lack of descriptions of characters. The author gave one's heritage, but not much of a description. Yes, it did include illustrations, but it was only of their heads. Overall, I'd give this book a rating of................6.7.
