Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

Auggie Pullman is a normal boy, except for the fact that he has a rare facial deformity. Everyone is scared of Auggie and doesn't appreciate him for who he is. His whole life Auggie has been homeschooled and he finally thinks he's ready to go to a normal school. So Wonder tells the story of Auggie and his experiences at his new school from multiple points of veiw.

If you don't finish this book either crying or wanting to try to help kids feel safe at school then you don't have a heart. I love this book and it made me change the way I think and act toward others! I hope that you like it as much as I did.

This book is so amazing. It is about a boy named Auggie, who is the same as everyone else. Except he was born deformed. He has been homeschooled, until now. Now he is going to public school. It is a great book about being yourself, and not to judge a book by its cover!

This book was amazing. I could NOT put it down! It is about a boy named August Pulllman. He is like every other child, he plays Xbox. plays ball, and eats ice cream. But then how could he feel so diffrent from everyone else? Just because he LOOKED different. Even as I speak- I mean type, someone around the world is getting bullied because of their APPEARENCE!

I have not read this but I have heard it is a great book because my friends have told me.

This is such an eye-opening book about what people who don't look the same go through every day. this bok is about August who looks different from everyone around him, which makes him a target and about how he gets through his challenges in life.

Wonder is such a heartwarming book. People should be more like August. If you haven't read this book, you definitely should.

Wonder was a book that told special kids, or anyone that is going through difficulty, that they could do anything if they put their mind to it. It was an amazing book that I could not take my yes off of.
