Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

Ok this info come from a girl who has had braces for three long years. This book is an AWESOME book , a must read for anyone and everyone , all ages. It has a hint of drama, a dash of romance, and a sliver of pain. It also shows that even when your in pain you just have to keep smiling. ( And trust me braces are painful!)

I would recommend this book to other kids in 4th-7th grade. It has a good message and it has a great educational value. The book hooked me from the start, and I couldn't put it down until I finished it.

The book Smile is an AWESOME book about drama, fake friends, braces, lost tooth, and...crushes? Go on a journey with Raina as she goes through middle school.

When i downloaded this e-book online, i was a little disappointed, since I thought it would be a chapter book. Instead, it is a comic book describing a couple years of Raina's life after she tripped and knocked out her two front teeth, only finding one of them on the ground. She then has to go through many painful dentist appointments, mouth-guards, braces, and head-gears, in addition to normal teenage problems: embarrassment, frenemies, ear piercings, and even boy troubles. Overall, this comic is probably for ages 12 and up as far as content but the words themselves combined with the pictures make it a simple and fast read good for encouraging self-confidence especially in girls with braces.

It is a good graphic novel in my opinion and is very interesting.

A girl. A friend. A race. A tooth. A minute. A hour. A day. A Girl Scout Meeting. Once there was a girl named Raina, who was being driven home by her friend's mom. When they arrived, her friend decided to race. Raina got tripped and face planted, as her mouth hurt. Soon after, she figured out her two teeth were gone. She found one, but the other was nowhere in sight. She was transported to her house, and the story begins. This girl goes through friend drama, severe mouth surgeries, several brackets, retainers, and boy trouble. I would highly recommend this great book to lovers of graphic novels and biographies.

One normal girl. One normal day. When Raina severely injures her front two teeth, things start to really get messed up. I would recommend this to people who like biographies and graphic novels.

smile is a great book i give it a 100/100 you need to read it i have read it like 100,000 times because it is so good i love it go read it right now

This is a great inspirational book. Characters have lot's of personality, situations are relatable, and the graphics are outstanding! This is a definite must-read if you want to find an amazing thing to read!

Smile is a great book, 10/10 I recommend this book. This book is about a girl named Raina, one day while she was racing her friends. She wanted to win so she stared speeding but she tripped while running. Raina didn't know how much process this would take to get her normal teeth back. During the process, while she was in High school, she had to deal with fake friends, boys, grades, and any other stuff middle schoolers have to go through!
