Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

Twelve tear old Raina wants to be an ordinary kid. But one day after girl scouts, she trips and she brutally injures her two front teeth. She is rushed to the orthodontist and gets lots of fake teeth, braces coming on and off etc. She soon she finds problems other than her teeth like boy problems, friend problems and much more. She hopes that one day, she can smile like she used to once again.

I love this book because I am going through all of the stuff Raina is going through and it feels really good to make a connection with the character. I love to read all of the drama and go through it just as if I was there. This book is a great experience.

Thsi is one of teh greatest graphic novels ever!

I loved this graphic novel! Just all the teeth drama, the friend drama, the new school drama, and the growing up drama. This book about a high school girl is so good!

I love Smile because it lets you seek to the problems of a normal teenager. It sometimes seems like everything is going wrong, but there is always a silver lining.

This book was about a girl who knocked her 2 front teeth out and she had to go to the dentist and get braces and fake teeth. She didn't like that she had braces and when the dentist took them off she needed a mouth guard, then she needed the braces back on again, then her teeth looked good in the end. I would recommend this book to you if you are interested in reading about kids with braces. I might need braces someday too.

This is one of the two books Raina has made to express her life s a teenager, going through a tooth problem. This book is nice for kids who like comic-book stories.

I like this book because it reminded me about my own life. I have to get braces and I'm a little scared, but in the book she is brave and her smile turns out nice in the end.

same I am wearing braces now and I am getting them off in a couple of months...I hope mine turn out good ;)

This Graphic novel is about Raina's experience about getting her teeth fixed and going through middle school. There are many twists and turns along the way. Overall it was a good book.

Smile is an outstanding graphic novel written by Raina Telgemeier. This book is about Raina, who wants nothing more than being a normal sixth grader. Of course, that is not going to happen. Raina falls one night, and ended up getting her braces, surgery, headgear, and a retainer with fake teeth. She looked like Frankenstein. What could get worse than this? An earthquake, unfriendly friends, unexpected problems, and more. What will Raina do to cope with all these problems? To find out, you have to read Smile, which you will not be able to put down and you will probably find out why this book is titled Smile.
