Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

This book is based on a true story and i can't believe it the author has woven the words so wonderfully. I do not regret reading this book it is amazing! If you are bored and want a good book then read this because it is amazing!

I loved this book because it was a true story about the author. Also it shows that even famous authors/celebrities have some flaws. That is why I am recommending you to read this book.

smile is a fun book about a girl . she goes throw multiple problems. i love it. i have read many Raina Teglimer books .all of them have been great .

It is shocking how this is a book that is true! “Smile” is a very interesting book about a regular kid’s life turning into a very surprising one. Raina, the main character of this novel, is having a very awkward life in school. She gets teased by her friends about her braces. But, another reason why I recommend this book and gave it five stars is because Raina’s life is very like mine. For instance, we have the same name, also I play the flute too. I think all of Raina Telgemeier’s books are awesome, but this one is especially full of attraction!

This book is an amazing piece of literature, I loved the pictures and how the author put this book together. This book is something I would want to read again ad again.

what an awsome book was that it really conacted to my life a lot mostly the braces the she used how awsome thanks raina telgemeier

This amazing story can tell what might happen throughout your lives. Middle school may get stressed out, and high school may get worse and worse. boys, drama, you name it! I may get get braces, but all it takes to learn and get good grades is what it takes to stand up and smile. SMILE!!!!!

This was a quick read, and one that made me feel really connected. Raina Teigemeier has a way of making her struggles through the awkwardness of adolescence feel so relateable. I felt myself questioning if she had read my thoughts.
