This is a book about a little girl called Sara Crewe. She had servants, closets full of clothing, and a great dad. Her mom died when she was born, but she did not miss her, because she never saw her. Sara loved telling stories and she loved reading books. She was a pretty girl, with long lashes and eyes with a queer color. Her life was better than everyone else. One day, Sara's father told Sara to go to a boarding school for young ladies. She didn't like the place because it was dull and ugly on the inside, with a very ugly and strict teacher who only cared about wealth. Before the day of of leaving each other, Sara's father bought her a doll that Sara loved, who was called Emily. In the boarding school, everyone liked her, except some of the big girls that were popular before Sara came. She cared for a mother-less girl called Lottie and even made a friend called Ermengarde. I'm not going to tell you the rest, but you can read to find out! I recomend it for 7-13 year olds.

The book A Little Princess was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett in 1905. It is about an imaginative and wealthy little girl named Sara Crewe who has only her dad to care for her. When Sara is seven, she goes to a boarding school for girls to get an education, though she can already speak French fluently. While she stays there, she is the star student because she is rich and the center of attention. She always gets what she wants but also has a kind and loving heart. She makes some friends named Lottie and Ermengarde and is having a great time until she finds out that her dad, the only person she has, dies, leaving her penniless. Her dad loses his money because he put it all towards a diamond mine, but it turns out to be a phony. Sara is turned into a servant girl to work with another servant named Becky. Sara and Becky have to live in a horrible attic. As a servant, Sara is treated harshly and is usually starved and cold, with a hard bed and a thin blanket. There are even rats in the attic. One day, she wakes up with her room magically decorated with a fire going and food. At the end of each day, when she comes back from her chores, she finds more food on the table left for her. Even though her life is difficult, she finds a way to be kind through it all, and in the end, everything works out alright for her. I loved this book! It was amazing. I would definitely recommend it.

Dubbed as one of the most beautiful books ever written, Frances Hodgson Burnett's classic "A Little Princess" revolves around a little girl named Sara Crewe who has everything. Her wardrobes are full to bursting with lavish attire, she is allowed extravagant porcelain dolls to play with, and her father is investing in some diamond mines in India that could make millions. Naturally, when Sara is sent to Miss Minchin's Seminary for Young Ladies, she is treated like royalty and with the utmost respect. In turn, impeccably-mannered Sara becomes a great favorite not only because of her money but because of her kindness. However, when her father dies and the diamond mine deal drains all his money but fails, young Sara Crewe is left with not a thing in the world to call her own except her doll. Forced to become a drudge and work day and night in rags for now-forboding Miss Minchin, Sara is dirty, alone, and worked to the bone. But what no one can take from Sara is her wherewithal, and even in the short little black dress smudged with dirt and torn to rags, Sara is a little princess in a class of her very own.
This is one of my favorite books of all time. It starts out with Sara having everything she could every want. but her father invested in dimend mines in inda then gets sick and dies. she mean while was in England at miss Minchin's school having every comfort you could imagine... until her father dies and she is left with no money, no home, no family. She stays at miss Minchin's school as a maid. but miss minchins horrid to her, she lives in the drafty attic ,is halfed starved , and wares close that are to small. but she keeps apositiv adatode throe thehole deel .
i love this because of mainly the whole story. Sara Crewe was a frail girl, so she couldn't live with her father in India. He was also a chef of the military . Her mother died when she was very young, so Sara is all her father had. However, he had to drop her off because she could stand the heat in India. Since he came from London, Sara's father decided to send Sara to Miss Minchin's boarding school for girls in London. However, before he left he had bought Sara an extraordinary wardrobe and a doll , so she would fit in with the other girls. At first, Miss Minchin said she would be a favorite pupil only because she was getting money. But when Sara got the letter 3years later that said her father gave his bank book to a friend he thought he could trust, but instead his so called "Friend," robbed him and ran away. Slowly Sara's father weaken from stress and his surroundings and soon died. Miss Minchin saw the letter and told Miss Amelia Miss Minchin's younger sister and they, including the other pupils started treating Sara badly. Now, Sara's doll emily is the only friend she has, but Sara still believes she has a friend inside her.
loved the little princess it was a little sad at times but it was an adventure. She was creative and sweet and really a little princess. I would totally read this again.
