I know what happened. Modern airplanes have a small tube on the front to measure speed. And water needs something to freeze around, like dust. But some water high in the atmosphere has nothing to freeze around. Some of this water may have hit the tube and frozen on contact, shutting off the auto safety systems, and leaving the pilot blind.
