Hey! That's not cool. It's their culture, and they worshiped the Buddha. That monk may have been really high up in class, so he was probably mummified inside the Buddha by choice, so he could become the next Lama when he was reincarnated. Don't ask me, I'm not Buddhist, but I did do a lot of research on Buddhism once.
