Gary Paulsen really knows how to write! It made me think about if i was in his situation. Me, alone in the Canadian woods, no food, no shelter, no nothing. And imagine about all the animals out there. Scary!

This book is one of my favorites. Claudia is a strong female character. I LOVE books with girls like that. I also love how she plans out everything, like where she's running to, who's she's running with, and why. It was a well-written, warm-hearted book.
