i think that captain was just in a panic that is why he got off the ship. He is under house arrest tho cause there is laws that say that the captain has to stay on the boat until everybody is cleared off and since there is still people missing and some people died, he broke thos laws. And the captain did say he accidently fell in the life boat but that is probeley a lie i bet he just paniced i no i would toatally panic and scream too and try to get off ASAP. You would think this captain is new but he wasnt he acually has been a captain for the carnival cruises for about twenty years maybe even more (that is what my teacher said) so he did no the rules!!!!! They are alot of different reasons people keep on saying why he got off but i really just think he paniced!!
