The City of Ember written by Jeanne DuPrau is a mystery the whole way through. You never know what happens because it always ends with a mystery. I love how they continue a mystery throughout the whole series. I also love how the main characters are by themselves the whole time. It also shows the power of friendship. Lina and Doon are the main characters in The City of Ember. Lina is the more adventurous one but still cares about her family such as her grandmother and little sister. But unlike Doon she doesn't really need a plan to do things. Doon on the other hand is more cautious and loves his family such as his dad. He also plans things before he does them. So, what will happen to Lina and Doon if they are such opposites? Will they make it out of Ember? Who found the storage room before them? Do you want the answer to any of these questions?
