The concept has great potential for what it could do to water transportation in the future, and I can see it working out for medium-sized transportation. The execution should go well with this type of potential, as long as whoever's developing/working with this material doesn't mess it up.

Theoretically, yes, but due to gravity, walking using this material would flip you over while walking on water.

with that idea, it would also be good in the army for armor. if only it was also fire and bullet proof!
