Honestly, I think people are overreacting too much. No one wants to be sick, but most people aren't at risk. Only older people in their seventies or older are pretty much. So, most people shouldn't worry that much. The only struggle is trying to find supplies for two weeks in case you have to be quarantined because someone in your family has the virus.

i have a field trip on the 31st hopefully they dont cancel it because i haven't had one all school year this year but the flu is more deadly than the corona virus

I've read that COVID-19 was a thing before all of this started happening. On average, Americans get it once or twice a year. You really shouldn't be too scared, because you've likely had it without knowing what it was called.
