But dogs have a flicker-fusion rate that allows them to see 60 to 70 images per second! People have a flicker-fusion rate of about 50 images per second. So if the images are projected at a speed suitable for our eyes to see, then the images put together to create the television program would (to a dog) flicker with black, look nothing like real life, and be painfully slow; like us seeing a person move very slow and jerky to perform an action, with pure black slides in between each jerk.
