Then eventually They saw an Indian in the distance. Then Dad builds a roof, floor, and digs a well, And of course a fireplace.Then two mean, greedy,dirty Indians robbed stuff like cornmeal and tobacco for dad’s gun, but they did not take the furs that dad is going to try to trade for a plow. Then dad goes to town and gets glass, sugar and trades the furs [ another name for coats] for a plow. Then there was an indian war cry. Then Laura's family starts to plant. Then they see a trail of indians. Then Laura and her family leave. If you like books about people's childhoods, then this is a good book to read. if you like history then choose this book.
