I thought that this was a great book. It is about a girl named Vega Jane who lives in the fictional town of Wormwood. She lives in a very interesting society, where being curious is looked down upon and no one ever leaves. Early in the book, Vega finds a map that depicts a world outside of her own with amazing creatures beyond imagination. But to find out about the truth, it may cost Vega her own life. I thought that this book had a great plot, but some of the supporting characters were weak and some parts of the book I felt were unrealistic. Overall, a great book that I would definitely recommend.

I found this book to be interesting, about a family with special powers, or savvies, that make them a pretty unusual family. They are having a somewhat normal life after moving to Nebraska, but then their father gets injured during a motorcycle accident. Mibs feels that she has to use her savvy to save her dad and gets in a van she thinks is on the way to where her dad is so she can save him. I felt that the book was pretty interesting, but that the plot could have been stronger and there could have been more interesting characters. I also found Mibs's savvy to be very confusing, and very weird compared to the other savvies of her family.

I felt that this was an amazing book, and a great starter to the amazing wizarding world of Harry Potter. This book is about a seemingly average boy named Harry Potter who always seems to have weird things happen around. But one day he receives a letter from a school called Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry and he is told that he is a wizard. Harry then goes to Hogwarts and has all crazy kinds of adventures, including fighting for the first time against the evil wizard who killed his parents, Lord Voldemort. It has such strong plot lines, mixed in with adventure and occasional jokes, it is one of the best books I have ever read.
