This situation absolutely disgusts me. How the political leaders renounced their completely fair and just decision of allowing the people to decide and pick their own rulers, is just plain selfish and horrible.
I love the idea of the "Umbrella Revolution". The only thing that bothers me about that is that officers are actually pepper spraying peaceful protesters. And tear gas....?!?
t2w: This reminds me of the women workers strike in the early 1900s that ended abruptly in the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory fire.
I know that many young ladies were arrested and assaulted.
It also reminds me of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and all the other brave citizens who fought for the end of segregation.Over 11 years ago
