Same here! My mom says they're dirty & carry disease, but I'm not sure if she's aware that your pet can get certain vaccinations to prevent these 'diseases' from harming anyone. As for the remark 'dirty', I figured that you could give your pet a bath. I haven't really done much research on domesticated animals, but I will soon enough! I'm like that kid you know who had a fish; but then it died.
