This book had a big frendship that changed Opal's Life. Her mom left her when she was a kid and her dad is a priest so she really didn't have time with someone she could love. Until she went to the market and got Winn-Dixie. I think this book is the greatest book I ever read. I think anyone could het someone to love of you just believe it can happen instead of standing in the shadows, We should go to the sunlight.Almost 13 years agoealam000 has read this book.
