this book was simply amazing, there were so many perspectives that i've never even considered before. There were also many paradoxes. I loved the character of Augustus Waters. He was phenomenal!

this is a very gripping tale...literally!...u just can't put the book down.....it is actually meant for a very mature audience as it is recommended for ages 14+...the cover seems rather childish but the book itself is pretty dark. Some of the dialogues are very touching as forbidden love is mentioned and portrayed.....

great book.....dave sounds like my kind of guy.....i love the plot and it really portrays modern teared apart nuclear families....quite eye opening

i recommend this for quite a mature reader as some parts are quite vivid and ....inappropriate...but the pieces fit together so perfectly....

although its not very moving....it portrays classic irish poverty back in those days and the strong religious views and conflicts between a catholic and protestant.Favourite line "when i grow up...i want to be a saint".....little did he know that you had to die inorder to be a saint!
