Excessive Poaching May Be Causing African Elephants To Evolve Without Tusks

Maybe they could breed elephants that are tuskless but could of had tusks because having tusks was ressessive for them . They still have the gene for it but it’s ressessive for them , or they have the characteristic but it is not expressed and not showing . They could maybe breed two tuskless elephants together and have a chance of a baby elephant that has tusks . I have heard this being done to bring back extinct giant tortoises. And I’m not a grownup . I just know these things 😉
