What Is Going On In Syria?

I think President Bashar Al-Assad should resign because his family has had a 40+ year regime and I believe that is terribly unfair. More developed and peaceful countries should help the rebels because initially there were peaceful demonstrations and protests but when government forces attacked, they attacked back, that is also why it unfair that President Al-Assad lied and said that the rebels were the cause. This a bitter and senseless fight that is killing children and innocent people and I really think it should stop.
