Guess who just finished her first year of highschool? I missed you guys! Now what is your latest read?

Wow! Missed you too! Trading faces (I wouldn't normally chose that, but I got voted out in book club...)

Yeah! I know! I've only gotten to read the one I voted for.... Which is Wonder!

Congrats! I’m currently reading the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas, and I’m really enjoying it so far (I’m on the second book, Crown of Midnight)! If you ever decide to read it, I recommend reading The Assassin’s Blade before the actual first book.

Nice! My latest read is called the secrets necklace, I read the first one years ago, and I thought that I might as well finish the 2nd one

Congrats! I just finished 'Salt and Sugar' by Rebecca Carvalho. I'm starting 'I'm the Girl' by Courtney Summers. I've heard good things about it, so I'm excited!

Nicee! Tbh I'm currently not reading anything, so if yall have any recommendations, I'm all ears (just a heads up I'm kinda picky when it comes to books😅). I love fantasy like "A Throne of Glass" by Sarah J. Maas ( it's slow, but REALLY GOOD).

I have another one for you (I'm also into fantasy btw)! I would recommend the Merlin series or the Song of the Lioness series.

Fantasy is my favorite genre! I’m like 1/4 thru the second book, and it is a bit slow, but I hear it gets progressively better further on.

If you like fantasy, I would recommend the series the "Land of Stories" by Chris Colfer. It is excellent!

I LOVE the "Land of Stories" and I like fantasy, too!

I love the Land of Stories, too! It’s a really easy read, but it was my fav series for some time

I am currently reading the book "Swiss Family Robinson" by Johann David Wyss. It is kind of an adventure kind of book.

Wait... That's a real book? I thought it got made up for a book. (The war that saved my life)

I'm picky too! I would recommend A Faraway Island... It's historical fiction, and it takes place in the summer of 1939

Okay I’m totally picky too! I would suggest “So This Is Love” by Elizabeth Lim. It’s my favorite book of all time and it’s a reimagined version of the Cinderella story! It’s SO GOOD and it kind of fantasy!

Oh I've heard of it before! I'll definitely put it on my tbr, thanks for the recommendation!!!

Nice! I am glad! Hope you did well!

Congrats!! What was it like? I'm going into highschool next, and I'm really nervous. I'm currently reading The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan!

The Red Pyramid? Is that part of the Kane Chronicles series?

Wow, congrats! I’m going to be a freshie in hs so that’s exciting! The latest book I’m planning on reading is called “Made For This Moment” by Madison Prewett Troutt. Glad you are back btw!

This week’s quote: “Fear is a reaction. Courage is a decision.” ~ Winston Churchill. 😉

That's amazing! I feel like that tells you the first scary thing about being a tween. I remember that. All the changes, the insecurity's...

Oh wow.......... That is such and amazing quote! I like quotes like that. I wish to be like that someday. I am considering becoming a police officer, but I have not looked into it yet. I think it will be a long time coming, as I am 14.

Oh, haha! Even though I don't do anything bad, I'm kind of scared of police officers! 😅

I luv quotes too! Something my mom suggested for me to do was to create a running list of quotes that speak to you. It is really fun to collect and really helps me get through some tough days. Anyway it’s cool that you already know what you want to be! Btw I’m 14 too!

And, it is good you have a list of quotes that can help you through being a teenager. (I struggle daily) Becoming a teenager it is kinda cool, but at the same time, I don't know..... I seem to get in trouble a lot more than I used to, LOL.

I agree, being a teen in 2024 definitely takes strength and moxie! 😂

Oh cool! I like talking to people my age, as they understand me better! Also, about becoming a police officer, I really don't know yet, Because my true dream job, is being a mechanic. (my parents do not want me to as it is pretty low paying) But that is my true dream job, as I am very passionate about working on cars.

Electricians in about 10 years is going to be one of the most wanted jobs, so it will be high paying, FYI. (My aunt researches jobs for her job, so she told me this)

Always listen to your parent's advice, I’ve learned that my parents are very wise! Also being passionate about something is really important for life

Hey y'all, it's been a long while! Hope everyone's doing awesome!! Here's an ice breaker, though i think the ice is already broken and has been for a while: Is pineapple an acceptable pizza topping, or should it be banned forever? My answer: If you like it go ahead and have my slice; I will never ever ever be putting it in my mouth....ever. Can't wait to hear y'alls thoughts!!

To be honest, I don’t like pineapple on pizza. Mainly cuz I don’t even like pineapples in the first place lol

I love pineapple on pizza! Hawaiian is definitely one of my favorite types of pizza.

I love Hawaiian pizza! Usually I eat three to four slices! 🍕

I like pineapples on pizza, they’re delicious.

I didn't realize quite a few people liked it!

Oh my gosh!!! It has been a while, WELCOME BACK!!!!! To answer your ice breaker, I think pineapples are AMAZING on pizza! Hawaiian is actually my fav type of pizza!

I don't like pineapple by itself though.....

Whaa, I lovee pineapple by itself!! Once, i ate too much and my lips started bleeding

I mean, I like it occasionally, but I don't usually have a need or a want for it.

Same it kind of leaves a weird taste in my mouth after I drink water! Weird but it’s true! 😂

I agree! Hawaiian is amazing! I honestly think it is the best type of pizza.

Haha! Thanks! Same to you! ✋ Hawaiian is just so good, I don't see how anyone could not like it! Also, do you like olives?

I also like Olive pizza too, as well as Greek pizza.

Hi! Have any of you here participated in piano contests before? I have participated in several small ones but never in a big one. Can any of you tell me what it is like at a big piano contest?

Yes, 2 of them. They are very nerve racking... Especially when you have to memorize them. But it doesn't matter win or lose! Just work on technique, and you will be fine. Get help from your piano teacher if you need!

I've done recitals but never actual contests. That sounds really neat!

Just a reminder, if you follow me, I will follow you too!😊
