waaaaaah I just figured out that next year I am getting braces does anyone have any tips on that? if you do please tell me!!
I'm gonna have to have an expander also me = metal mouth I wear glasses and have my ears pierced so metal head people I am the NERD. I am proud of it too
I'd give you tips, but everyone's pretty much told you everything I know. I've had braces since August 2018, they aren't that bad. Just remember to brush often. 👍😁
I got my braces off a year ago, and my little sister actually just got hers on. My advice is to follow all the rules that your orthodontist gives you. I followed all my rules and had them on for about a year and a half. Lots of my friends complain about their orthodontist giving them an estimated completion date but the braces taking longer than expected. However, these are the same friends who chew gum frequently, eat popcorn, hard candy, and chewy foods. Trust me, it's better to give up gum for a year and a half than have braces for three years!
Same with me (ugh). But i already had a "first round" of braces on my front teeth to straighten 'em out, and (don't tell anyone) but i actually chewed small pieces of sugarfree gum all the time and i was fine. Plus, if you have a nice orthodontist, you get to pick out new colors for your bands each time you go back!
Yeah! I have had braces for years, and don't be scared! They will ache a little after you get them on, but after that nope! But, if you get them then there will be a lot of things you can't eat! So try to stay away from gum, hard candy/foods, and caramel. But they will usually tell you what you can't eat! But its nothing to be scared of, they don't hurt when they come on!

YES! That was me literally a couple months ago. Tips with braces: 1) The first couple of days, they are going to hurt. A LOT. Watch TV and take a lot of painkillers. Don't try eating anything solid for at least a week. 2) When you get them adjusted, certain teeth will feel loose and hurt when you eat. Try to avoid chewing with them...3) BRUSH! I can't emphasize this enough. It will leave lines on your teeth 4) No pizza crusts. They get stuck in the little gap in the middle and are impossible to get out.
Oof! Braces really sound like no fun!
They're not really, but you just gotta keep telling yourself "When I get out of these, I'll look more like a movie star than ever!" XD
