Hi! Summer reading is basically a club, but sort of not. There is a commentary section and the main thing to do is write reviews for books. I believe you get prizes for the amount you read, but I'm not sure...

It's pretty much a super fun part of the website that comes around when school gets out! You select books from the long list to read and review, and you can get prizes for the amount of books you read! It's awesome!!
Yes it is like a club but you read books then you review them and once you've read a certain amount (3 I think) you get to pick a prize! It is only during the summer and you have to make sure you have sent a parental consent from by mail/email . And if you do join when you write reviews you have to make sure you've signed in and they are original reviews. It's really really fun and gives you a good opportunity to read different books.
you sign up for it by filling out a form, I think! and you mark down what books you read, and once you read a certain number then you can start winning prizes :P hope this helps, im trying to remember from last year! ~julia13 (joeycollin13)
