Hi everyone! Interesting fact: The French Revolution was started by a diamond necklace. Also, here's a book recommendation: Stoned by Aja Raden (the book where I found the interesting fact). Stoned is all about jewelry and how it has shaped history. You should check it out!

wow thanks!! That seems so interesting! I'll definitely check it out.

Hey hey everyone! I am back from my trip, an week long, it`s SUPER FUN! But when i got on the plane, i faced some barrier, an barrier for having rights to have access, when I appear trying to watch an movie but guess what, they don`t have captions for it, out of 5/117 movies have captions and also it not even half have captions, so I have about enough about it! If you`ll experienced same thing or not, please feel free to relpy below!🤦‍♀️🤔

Glad you enjoyed your trip! I've been on flights in India before, and I've experienced the thing with the subtitles before. Most of the movies are in Hindi (I don't know Hindi) and they don't have English subtitles. It's frustrating!

I can relate to this! I mean, honsetly, I not fully understand spoken English just yet... So yeah, all of movies should have English subtiles to make more accessible for everyone! Looking forward to your relpy!

Agreed! I also think movies should have Braille subtitles (or something like that) for people with visual impairments!

That sounds awful. I'm not deaf, but that's has got to suck

Yes! This always SUPER hard for me but at least I made it through with the plane....

Oh...........that's not nice.... I had experienced something similar on the JAL airline. Most of the movies are japanese based(which I don't understand), though they do have english captions it's still frustrating reading the captions for an hour with japanese ringing in my ear XD.

Japanese movies is cool! But if they don`t have english subtiles, u know what i will do....

Oh dang I feel kinda bad now since that happened.

I will be okay! Thx, @mara_love and @techfashion0135!

Almost everything is not fair for me as deaf person...but this is life...life sometimes can be even stinks for me

Yeah. Once I went to somewhere (Forgot where I when) it happen to be the same. So I turnoff my phone's airplane mode and watch it on phone.~ Victoria

I have my tablet so I just turn on the Netflix and watch an tv show which have captions...don`t worry, my tablet is on the airplane mode so...

I'm glad you had fun! 😄 I'm so sorry about the whole caption thing! That is so wrong! There should be more options! 😡

I agree! Everything just needs to be more accessible for everyone!

Nah, this is ok! When I`m growing up, almost nothing is not accessible for me...but I became used to it, u know...I grew up in all hearing world and super less D/deaf world....😒

Thats ok! Everything just needs to be more accessible for everyone!

I know, right? For many years D/deaf people fighting for having an rights to have access and we, deaf people, still fighting for having rights to have access...and I agree that its wrong to not to add captions for D/deaf people...!
