Since it’s Valentine’s Day, I’m going to do a quiz: 1) Do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? 2) What’s your favorite Valentine candy/sweet treat? 3) Does your school do anything special for this day? 4) How much candy did you eat? 5) Interesting fact (not a question): Valentine’s Day has a rather dark origin. A Roman emperor outlawed marriage because he wanted more unmarried male soldiers, but a man named Valentine helped young couples get married in secret. When the emperor found out, he executed Valentine, and the Catholic Church honored Valentine’s death by creating a day in honor of him. BTW, this is probably not completely true. No one knows the full story.
