Yeah it is. Some girl looked up the meaning of Laurel on this site and it said it out loud to her, except she heard Yanny, so she compared with her classmates and they all heard different things, and then it became this big phenomenon.

I find that more guys hear Laurel and more gals hear Yanny.

Supposedly... but I heard Laurel my first time and my dad heard Yanny... so I don't believe that hypothesis.

It's SO weird! I can hear both and Laurel is like this deep man voice, and Yanny is this annoying voice like someone pinching their nose and talking.

I heard only Yanny at first and then I watched the video and plugged in headphones. After I put earbuds into the jack I heard Lauren and Yanny. (Actually, I hear Yammy)

I LOVE your idea for Fan Fiction, @bookstory13! I myself dabble a little in fan fiction. I have a friend who loves to write it. I've written some Star Wars fan fiction. That would be a great thing to add and I think lots of kids on here would really enjoy it!

I started writing a little bit of fan fiction about the Ruby Redfort series (btw if you're looking for book recommendations anyone, READ THAT!! IT'S AMAZING!) and sometimes for school too! It's fun to have a sort of prompt for writing!
