i liked this book but they couldve made the ending more interesting.

.It can be hillarious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It can also Be scary and wier and really this book is unbearable. If your not into scary stories don't read them at night or you won't sleep too good.

A 12 year old name Skiff Beaman, after him mom died, has to take care of his sunken boat without his depressed dad. Having to use all his strength to make money by fishing with a small leaky boat, comes across a problem with a rich bully. Will Skiff earn enough money for a new engine for his boat? I recommend this book for ages 7+.

I decided to read this book because the cover looked interesting and I like horses and adventure. When I first read the book I'm like this is boring I should have not got this book, but when I read more of the book I liked so I continued reading it.

This book was amazing! We watched the past come to life through words. This was a story about a pioneer family coming to Florida. We loved hearing about the MacIvey family overcoming hardships and making a name for their family in the Florida wilderness.

this book was so historically true as for as how slaves were treated and how some white people wanted to help them get free. This books brought tears to my eyes when Addy was made to eat worms. I just hope that I would be as strong as she and her family were. I think everyone should read this book. I want to read more and I have two more to read. I give this book 5 stars. I am in the 7th grade and I had this book for two years but just decided to read it.
