Pattie, her family, and a few others are the last to leave Earth just before the great disaster. On the new planet, called Shine, they struggle to survive as supplies dwindle, time runs out, and danger lurks among them. Pattie and her friends explore the planet and discover many interesting things that may prove useful for them. I would recommend this for ages 9+ this book reminds me that a day will come when Earth will not be able to support life, because of us. I am sad of all the polluting and everything. I hope this book can inspire everybody to conserve and save the Earth.

I think that Clementine made a lot of mistakes that she did't realize she was doing.Clementines father was the manager of the apartment building that they lived in.Her father was always so busy. This book was not one of my favorites but I enjoyed it .I recommend this book.

A good read for middle and high school students. It gives a very good insight in the mind of a high school student on his thoughts and imagination. Please read the preface or summary beforehand.
