Ham Helsing #1: Vampire Hunter
By Moyer, Rich
the book is so funny! i am wondering why the pigs jump of the high cliff, did they do this on purpose? if they did, they might want to die, and if they didn't, they might think it is fun or not dangerous to do that. i LOVE this book.
Monday's Not Coming
By Tiffany D. Jackson
I loved this book it had me on my toes at all times it was sad and I have read it 6 times and I have cried every single time
The Baking Life of Amelie Day (Middle-Grade Novels)
By Vanessa Curtis
The ebook version was the version I read. It is a really great book, with a shocking climax and falling action. Now that was definitely the kind of novel with 'sugar and spice and everything nice'. I enjoyed every bit of it, despite the fact that I wouldn't really put it on my top three favorite books. Amelie is the kind of girl who is independent and sparkles in her own unique way!
See You at Harry's
By Jo Knowles
Fern's family annoying. She has a three-year-old brother that always takes everyone's attention, her father has forever ruined her reputation from embarrassing attempts to spread their business name, and her older sister is sassy and doesn't understand anything. She only loves her brother Holden. Charlie (the younger brother) is the star of a badly-written commercial. Everyone loves him. One day, while Fern is doing her homework (but she is supposed to be watching Charlie), Charlie wants to play! When she refuses and tells him to leave her alone, he calls her the Big Bad Wolf and runs across the street, laughing. (This happens pretty early in the book but it's important so if you don't want ANY spoilers, stop reading) He almost gets hit by a car, but the car stops just in time! He only falls lightly to the ground. Everyone swarms around Charlie and glares at Fern. The next day, Fern gets ready for school. When her mom goes to wake Charlie, Fern hears wailing. Fern's mom found Charlie dead in his bed. He died from a brain clot, from the fall, in his sleep. The is a heartbreaking tale about a girl who has to learn how much she loved someone-after the person has died. I cried when she went to the lake and she started screaming "Why? Why did you take him away? He was just a little boy!" The next day I went upstairs and told my five year old brother that I loved him lots and lots and lots. This book changed me for the better by reading the worst. --BKS reviews
Cecile: Gates of Gold (Girls of Many Lands)
By Mary Casanova
I liked this book, but I recommend it to 3rd grade and up because there are some tragic deaths in the book. WARNING: This review contains mild spoilers. Twelve-year-old Cécile Revel (Cécile is pronounced say-seel) is a peasant living in the village of Rileaux, France with her father. When she finds an injured lady in the woods, her father helps her, and Madame begs them to let her reward them in any way. Papa asks Madame if Cécile can serve at court instead of being a peasant. Madame says yes, and Cécile has to leave everything and start a new place that holds a brighter future for her. She becomes Madame's servant, and tends to her dogs. After a troublesome incident with one of the dogs, Stabdille, she meets Princess Marie-Adélaïde and her son, Bretagne (pronounced bre-tahn-yeh). After that, Bretagne requests for Cécile and Stabdille to visit him. But, there are rules no one ever warned Cécile about...and then measles take Marie-Adélaïde life, and then the prince dies and...just like that, Bretagne is gone too. Can Cécile save Bretagne's brother, Anjou (pronounced an-zhoo)? Will she lose her position at court? What will she do, when both of her parents are dead? You can see Cécile's loyalty to the people she loves as you read this book. It's good, so read it!

The Princess Diaries (The Princess Diaries, Vol. 1)
By Meg Cabot
It's a good book for any girl who isn't obsessed with reading but likes to sit down and read a good book. Recommended for ages 10+ because, it will be easier to understand the feelings of a teenage girl. The book might make you giggle, and might make you gasp, but you will be digging through that book because you'll love it! Girls. You will want to read the second book.
