The Son Of Neptune (The Heroes of Olympus, Book 2)
By Rick Riordan
Let’s go Percy, let’s go! Let’s go Percy, let’s go! Let’s go--, hello Percy! Ah, The Son of Neptune, I’ve been waiting… The Son of Neptune is the second novel in the Heroes of Olympus series. I’ve read (and enjoyed) the first book, The Lost Hero. (By the way, my review of The Lost Hero is up and running on DogoBooks. Go check it out!) But, we are here to discuss the second novel, so The Lost Hero, get lost again. ***CHARACTERS*** The three main characters in the book are Percy, Frank, and Hazel. One is a kid who forgot his memory, second is a kid who *SPOILER* can turn into animals, and lastly is a girl who *SPOILER* came back from the dead. Wondering how they are best friends? Trust me, I don’t know either. But I love them all the same. PERCY- Was a character that I felt bad for. Imagine forgetting who you are and left without a clue for (I think) eight to nine months. But Percy was a well-written character. He made me laugh and cry the whole time… FRANK- Was hilarious! Frank just summed up my entire life with his clumsiness. He is so funny and sweet, and a really great character. His backstory is so interesting and sad that I couldn’t put done the book with Frank’s chapter. HAZEL- Was so sweet. Her life is so interesting. Hazel was a fragile character deep inside. She had secrets and memories that made her happy. She held on to them even though she lived a horrible (past) life. Oh! I was really happy when *SPOILER* Thanatos (or Pluto) let her live. Thank god(s) that she was allowed to proceed to her new life. That made me very relaxed. ***SETTING*** Camp Jupiter was a really interesting place. Not only did I have to adjust from Camp Half-Blood to Camp Jupiter, but I had to also look up different gods and goddesses that were new to me in Roman form. In conclusion, I loved this book. It was fast paced with action and plot-twists that I couldn’t just stop reading. Five stars from me!
The Best of Iggy
By Annie Barrows
This book was okay, but there were some things I didn't like. It was a bit too short for me, and there wasn't much action or adventure. I think this would be good for younger kids, but it isn't my favorite book. I still liked the animated pictures, though, and that's why I rate The Best of Iggy 3/5 stars.
Art2-D2's Guide to Folding and Doodling (An Origami Yoda Activity Book)
By Tom Angleberger
I haven't been on here in a long time, a long time…. Hi, I came here after checking the SF site after a while (to get OY folding instructions). *Allow me to introduce myself.* You can call me Echo, if you need to call me anything [because sharing my real name on here is a bad idea]. I've read the Origami books since Darth Paper came out when I was in elementary school and still like them, and I'm a very odd freshman now. My favorite character is C-3P0 obviously but I also like Yoda, Old Ben, and a lot of characters including Jocasta, was it? (from the Clone Wars 'Lightsaber Lost') and Chopper. [I actually think Jar-Jar Binks (!) is a little funny.] I am a Master Doodler and I love to read, but really the only thing I've managed to fold was a few Darth Papers (which I lost). But I HAVE created my own SW human, protocol droid, and Wookie characters. My favorite movie is Star Wars and I'm going to see 'The Force Awakens' today (bringing a Origami Yoda with me) but I also really like the Hobbit, book and movie, The Two Towers by J.R.R Tolkien, WondLa, and How to Train Your Dragon, book and movie. Anyways, I have read all the OY books and even been to the Smithsonian myself, as well as 5 Harry Potter books I think and up to the Prisoner of Askaban. (I really like her writing). Oh and I'm moving to Europe from America in a few months. Hamburgers are Plastic Dinosaurs, because everything else is awesome. I agree with Murky on that. May the Force be with you! *hums To The Sky by Owl City* And it would be awesome if there was an Origami Yoda movie… -Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Adventures from the Land of Stories: The Mother Goose Diaries
By Chris Colfer
This book was very good ! You get to know another side of the sarcastic old Mother Goose. One of my favorite parts was the gander part. I thought it was funny. I pretty much liked all of It! It explains some history such as royals, plagues, civil, women and LGBT rights. I also thought it was funny when she found Amelia Earhart. This is a great book to get to know Mother Goose more. It will make you laugh out loud.

The Life As We Knew It Collection (Life As We Knew It Series)

Dexter the Tough
By Margaret Peterson Haddix
I love Dexter The Tough. The thing i like about this book is how at the beginning Dexter realized his mistakes and then he feels guilty but lies about his mistakes. In the middle he is saying sorry and then at the end Dexter is friends with robin and he finds out the secretary did not leave him out in the hallway alone. The janitor did not mean to make the floor to slippery. The principal did not know about Dexter's parents.
