Jess Aarons only wanted to be the fastest boy at recess. Instead new, interesting people buy the house next-doors. And they have a daughter, Leslie, who is beautiful, and interesting, with a creative imagination. Jess, and Leslie soon become friends, and create their own land, which is just theirs, and only Leslie, and Jess can enter together. When Jess goes to school the next day, the music teacher takes him on a field trip, but when he comes back, nothing is ever the same. This book is perfect if you or somebody else is dealing with the harsh reality of death. I recommend this book to anyone.

I read this book a long time ago, and I remember it being enchanting, and a book that somewhat resembled a mix of two of my favorite writers, Katherine Applegate, and Kate DiCamillo. You should really read it!

It's pretty sweet, but if you're a sixth grader hoping for a chapter book, then it's not amazing, but I will admit it's perfect for little kids. I flew through it so fast, Sora said I spent zero minutes on it!

In my opinion, I really liked this book. One reason why is that it was very detailed. Another reason why is it had a lot of interesting characters . The last reason why is it told a interesting adventure. My favorite part was hearing the food spread during the feasts. You might like this book if you like mythical things and people going on adventures. You should read this book because it was a long but good read.

This book is best book I have read in my life! This book draws you in to it and makes you want to keep reading and keep reading and keep reading. I definitely recommend this book to you if you like books, or even if you aren't that interested in books, I wasn't before I've read this book. Any way, the review. I really liked this book. It is funny and its like a true story. The writer uses the idea of a journal to make Todd tell his story and he tears out the pages and staples them in other places so you can see it in the order that you're supposed to read it adn not in the order it was written. That was really clever. I'm in 8th grade. I think it's okay for 6th grade but I don't get why they say 2nd t0 5th grade.
