A book all about Fall was perfect this past week. We learned about the letter F for fall and it was the first week of the season Fall!

This series is great. The journey by Gooney Bird Greene is cool. Gooney Bird Is So Absurd is a good book!

This story shares all of the places that are lived on this family farm in Wyoming. (I'm guessing it is Wyoming, since that is where the author was born.) We talked about all the places that we love, and wrote about them in our writer's notebook.

I have read this book and it's one book you should not judge by its cover. Read after the chapter 'Shadow' and it will all make sense. It's all written in poem but don't let that put you off. I think it is amazing. The age I recommend it for is 11+ because younger people may not understand. Even they could read it. It's not disturbing, it's just it will be easier to understand if you are 11+.

Much about life in the South didn't change for African Americans after the Civil War. They moved to northern cities for freedom, a new life for their children, and jobs. Did they find what they were looking for?

I wanted to read this book because the pictures looked interesting. I read it and the story was just as fun and interesting as the pictures.

The True Story of the Three Little Pigs as told by the wolf was a great book. Our class thought the pigs were treated badly by the wolf until we read this book. After reading this book, we feel sorry for the wolf! Please read this book because our class really liked it.

Jip - a boy thought to be dropped from a wagon, actually true but by an African slave woman who was running away. Near the end, he is assisted by his teacher and a character named Luke, broken out of prison, and helped at a court hearing (unwritten).

An inspiring tale of a 14 year old lawyer and how she does the unexpected. I absolutely loved this book!
