This book consists of five stories, Whispers Down the Lane, Secret in the Willows, Catch a Falling Star, Night of the Fireflies, and A Cry in the Dark. The first story is about when Merry protects her abused friend. The second one is about Merry trying to help her neighbors find out who is vandalizing their farm and she befriend a special ed boy. Catch a Falling Star is about Merry deciding between who she likes the most and is the best for her. The fourth is about a neighbor getting in an accident and the neighbors' grandfather writing a poem. The last one is about when Merry finds an abandoned baby. It's a REALLY good Christian and just overall inspirational book.

Negima! continues its wacky hijinks in volume 2 of the popular manga series of Ken Akamatsu. This volume is mostly filler to appeal new readers into the series before they really get into the plot. The book is rated 16+ due to some suggestive humor and scenes of girls bathing (not much is visible), but it should be fine for older kids and teens.
