This book opens like any other: Once upon a time. But it's not your typical happily-ever-after. Queen Belle and King Beast of Auradon banished all the villains of the fairytale world to the Isle of the Lost, an island protected by a magical barrier that traps all the evil-doers inside, and takes their powers away in the process. All the villains are stuck there with their kids-- yep, that's right, the villains have kids! But this book is about 4 certain descendants: Mal, daughter of Maleficent; Jay, son of Jafar; Evie, daughter of Evil Queen; and Carlos, son of Cruella De Vil. Ever since Mal wasn't invited to Evie's birthday party when they were younger, she's been determined to get her back. This year, as her Evil Scheme project at school (yes, villains teach their kids how to be evil at school😜) cunning Mal is planning to really get her. And it's going down at her midnight party, with the help of her thieving partner, mischievous Jay. Meanwhile, beautiful Evie and intellegent Carlos try out Carlos's new invention: and it breaks a hole through the barrier! Even if it's only a small one, it allows them to grasp a bit of magic from the mainland. And as they discover later, this magic awakens Diablo, Maleficent's raven sidekick, and Maleficent's infamous scepter. And there's different reasons everybody wants to venture to find it: Mal's evil scheme to "dethrone" Evie never worked, and she's looking for a way to prove to her mother that she really is evil. Jay wants to get the scepter so it can be the "Big Score" his father has been raving about, the one that will make them rich. Evie just wants to make friends, and live on the mainland. Carlos wants to get away from his mother, who treats him like a maid, and continue his inventions. For these reasons (that they all keep to themselves), they band together and journey through the Isle of the Lost to find the scepter. Through the obstacles and challenges that face them on their way, they find that they need to use every one of their different strengths to help them continue on. Will they find the scepter? Who will make the move to take it for themselves? And are these villains really that bad?! As the back of the book states; Bad tree. Bad apple?? This book was so good! I love the idea of descendants of the classic villains! Melissa De la Cruz did a great job bringing this idea to life in her amazing writing. I actually watched the movie Descendants (BTW, it's a great movie if you want to check it out) BEFORE reading the prequel, but luckily that didn't really matter. All in all, I recommend this book for anybody! 5/5 stars!

Becoming Brianna by terri Libenson Genre: nonfiction or informational I chose # 3 because it's just right. I didn't learn anything from the book .The challenge did not help me. I didn't find anything interesting about the book. And nothing surprised me. I would recommend this book to grade 3-5 because it's not a challenging book.

This book is so meaningful. It's down to earth, but at the same time, I can't imagine anything that Anne went through happening to me. Anne is a real girl during the Holocaust. She lived a regular life, and then WWII started up. Her family and several others were forced into hiding to avoid concentration camps, commonly known as Nazi death camps. Hitler was insane and prejudiced against Jews. He felt that their religion was an excuse to treat them horribly. Anne's and several other families hid in a storehouse, which was owned by a friend of their's who was not a Jew. As Anne pours her heart out to her diary, which she calls Kitty, we can feel the weight of thousands of people on our shoulders. We weep for those who were lost in WWII and those who lost loved ones. Anne go's through her teenage years hidden away, years she should have been able to spend with friends. Hitler started a war, and then, after generations of lives were lost, he killed himself. This book would be a hard subject for kids under 4th grade to read. Thank you.

I love this book because in the book The book is silly the book will make you say funny words . the book will also make you smile.for example Blue berry pizza is a pizza with blue Berrys. He is a really funny character In the book.the book will also make you say I am a crazy robot. I recommend this book to people ho like funny books. there are much more Characters in the book. make sure to read to find aot more. I think you will like this book. This book is funny and for some reason he is at school and that is funny to me because zombie don't go to school the game is better but the book is still good and I love the game and this book.

Gen. Thomas J. Jackson who is well-known by his nickname; Stonewall. He was born Jan. 21st, 1824 - May 10, 1863. He fought in U.S. Civil War (1861-1865) until 1863 when he died. His desire to become a pastor and work with the Church and God but he also have the desire to join the military until finally he has an opportunity to take the charge of the U.S. Confederate Army as a general. In 1853, he married one lady, Elinor "Ellie" Jackson but got separated in 1854 due to Ellie`s death. After Ellie`s death, Stonewall was so upset because he missed Ellie dearly and he ended up got married again to another lady; Mary Anna Jackson in 1857 but ended in 1863 due to Stonewall`s death. During his two marriages, he has two girls; Mary Graham Jackson and Julia Laura Jackson. He was well respected by his unit during Civil War. And his final words were; "Let us cross over the river, and rest under the shade of the trees." - Gen. Stonewall. And his cause of death was pneumonia.

If you haven't read Half Upon a Time and Twice upon a time, this story will NOT make any sense. But it is the most epic grande finale I have ever read.
