The Goats

The Goats

By Brock Cole

Just read my review for Standing Up. It's the movie for this book. What I thought of it: Half of the time they referred to the 2 main characters as "the boy" and "the girl. That annoyed and confused me. The book was kind of racist, but it was written in the 80s so I wasn't very surprised. The writing style wasn't very good, and the author used a lot of metaphors I didn't get. I know this sounds crazy, but the movie was better. It seemed more meaningful, and it was more entertaining. It wasn't a bad book, though. Overall it was ok.

Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins By Eric Kimmel Illustrated by Trina Schart Hyman Have you ever heard of Hanukkah? This book is about a man named Hershel walking down a path to get to a village, but when Hershel gets to the village, he learns that there is no Hanukkah because of the Hanukkah goblins. Hershel has to stay in the Hanukkah house and light a hanukkah candle every night. I will not tell you who lights the last candle. My favorite part is the ending. You will have to read this book to find out my favorite part is. I recommend this book to people who would like to learn about Hanukkah. By Ashlynn
